Ferrochrome (FeCr) is an alloy of chromium and iron containing between 50% and 70% chromium.Over 80% of the world’s ferrochrome is utilised in the production of stainless steel. According to carbon content, it can be divided into:High carbon ferrochrome/HCFeCr(C:4%-8%),Medium carbon ferrochrome/MCFeCr(C:1%-4%),Low carbon ferrochrome/LCFeCr(C:0.25%-0.5%),Micro carbon ferrochrome/MCFeCr:(C:0.03 0.15%).China for increasing proportion of the world’s ferrochrome production.
