Ferromolybdenum is an ferroalloy composed of molybdenum and iron, generally containing molybdenum 50~60%, used as an alloy additive in steelmaking.Its main use is in steelmaking as molybdenum element additive.The addition of molybdenum into the steel can make the steel have uniform fine crystal structure, improve the hardenability of the steel, and help to eliminate the temper brittleness.Molybdenum can replace some tungsten in high speed steel.Molybdenum, in combination with other alloying elements, is widely used in the production of stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, acid-resistant steel, tool steel, and alloys with special physical properties.Molybdenum is added to cast iron to increase its strength and wear resistance.

The products shall be delivered in blocks, the lumpiness range is 10-100mm, and the degree below 10*10mm shall exceed 5% of the total weight of the batch. The maximum size of a small amount of lumpiness in one direction is 180mm. If the user has special requirements on the lumpiness, it can be agreed by both parties

Application:

① it has been widely used in structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, tool steel, stainless acid-resistant steel, heat-resistant steel (also known as hot strength steel), magnetic steel and other series of steel

②In cast iron, molybdenum is effective in improving strength and toughness, and can form pearlite matrix in medium and large section castings when the addition amount is 0.25% ~ 1.25%

③Often used in rolls and other wear – resistant castings.
