Ferroalloy manufacturer gives you a detailed share of all uses of spheroidizer/nodularizer

The effect of spheroidizernodularizer)on cast iron is twofold:

1,Rare earth as nodulating agent dissolved in molten iron has a strong effect on the formation of carbide. It is an antigraphitized element. However, adding a small amount of rare earth in the magnesium-based spheroidizer can greatly increase the melting rate of cast iron.Reduce; If the addition amount is large, the tendency of cast iron will be improved. This seemingly contradictory phenomenon is not in fact contradictory. That's because rare earths have a strong ability to combine with sulfur and oxygen.

2,When the spheroidizer contains rare earth elements, its sulfide and oxides are very stable, small particle size, it is difficult to float in the molten iron.In addition, the mismatch between these compounds and the graphite lattice is very small and can be used as heterogeneous precipitates of graphite nuclei.Magnesium oxide MgO is a spheroidizing agent with high melting point, good stability and low solubility in molten iron, but when the particle size is a little larger, it will float to the surface to become scum, or may be involved in the casting of slag inclusion.

Nodulizer(ReMgSiFe),is an addictive that can promote the forming of spheroidal graphite from graphite pieces in the production processes. It can foster spheroidal graphites and increase the number of spheroidal graphites so that their mechanical properties are improved. As a result, the ductility and toughness of the products have been improved so that their power and functions are greatly strengthened.

The heavy rare-earth nodulizers enjoy strong capabilities with anti-recession, anti-distortion and anti-interference in the process of production. Its magnesia is basically controlled within 0.6%. With stable original molten iron and the matured nodulizing technology, the residual magnesium can be controlled stably.
